Wind Loading

Note: Mph calculated using ANSI/ASCE 7-88, "American Society of Civil Engineers Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and other Structures." Exposure Category B (urban and suburban areas with closely spaced obstructions having the size of single-family dwellings or larger). All Aegis II TM Single Pedestrian, Double Pedestrian, and Drive Gates shall be welded construction. Electrostatic application of PermacoatTM, powder coating system, shall follow the welding operation.

Materials for gate framing shall match the framing materials in standard fence panels. All framing materials shall be 50,000 psi minimum yield strength and have a minimum wall thickness of .080". Framing shall be 1-3/4" square. Pickets shall be 1" square with a minimum wall thickness of .065 ".

One-Way Fastener and Security Bracket

Ameristar's Aegis II TM ornamental fencing system is supplied with true security in mind. The tamperproof one-way fastener combines with the unique bracket design to result in a non-removable secure connection. The security bracket is supplied with both tek screws and a drive rivet; either or both may be used to attach bracket to post.
